    Hi all,
I know I’ve been sort of absent lately. A lot going on.
Anyway, having completed my Clickbank product, now that I am focused on promoting it, I also have moved on to a new “creative” project. (See my signature.)

Basically, it’s reviewing various IM products/programs, and if anyone has seen my posts on here, I honestly don’t know why I didn’t think of it before. It’s perfect for me! This way I can justify my passion for trying out all sorts of different products/programs in the IM niche. And I think the hook is, I’m not just going to put any old crap up there hoping for an affiliate commission…it will actually be based on real experience with it 😀

Actually, this idea is one I’ve had before, but the domain name just kind of “came” to me, and I had to get past my dislike of seeing myself on video, and just move forward!

So, my request is, would anyone be willing to go view my site, like/share videos on my YT channel, follow me on Twitter, give suggestions on what you’d like to see, etc? Of course, I will be glad to reciprocate, just let me know.

I know it’s a pretty brazen request, but so far my channel has NO legitimate likes. I need some traffic! As well as feedback. So, good or bad, please feel free to respond (preferably on YT and/or on my websites).

Thanks! Interested to learn what everyone else has been up to, too!

    Jen,
I gave a ‘like’ and commented on your youtube channel. Great job just DOING something. It doesn’t have to be PERFECT. (not saying it is not…just giving you props for getting something going!). One small suggestion for your video… the picture of you inside the screen you are recording could be a little smaller so that it doesn’t cover up so much of the screen. You do a great job and are good on camera so don’t make it TOO small but a little smaller might help.

      Steve,
Yes, thanks so much for visiting the channel and giving my first YT comment! 😀

Oh, I have no qualms admitting it’s far from perfect! I have a long way to go, but then again, it’s also completely new territory for me. I always shied away from videos and did screencasts instead, so the “video-within-a-screencast” seems like the perfect solution for me. I actually did it using free software.

Is the part you’re referring to as too big, the video of me? If so, I’ve thought that myself. I would like to mess with the settings in that program to be able to figure out how to adjust the size to be a bit smaller.

Thanks again for all the feedback – it’s very appreciated!

Yes Jen, the video I’m referring to is the small one of YOU inside the larger one of your screen. It is not at all that YOU are too big but that the video of you covers up a pretty significant amount of your screen. I’m not sure what software you’re using but the size is usually just a click and drag the corner resizing just before you render the video.
As I see it, the whole ideas behind having YOU showing (which I do believe helps with conversions because it shows you are a real person and not some company with over-produced videos that may or may not be anything but marketing junk) is to make those watching subconsciously connect with you which puts them down the path toward knowing, liking and trusting you. So even if your little in-screen video isn’t large it does its job.
      But again, great job.
I just congratulate you for starting your project. Getting started is always the hardest so I have no doubt you’ll be able to ‘get and keep momentum.

    Well done indeed Jen,

Great idea Jen if you can stand to put up with a lot of rubbish and find some gems among them. You have more patience than me, as I have seen so much rubbish it would make you cringe. I’m glad you are enthusiastic for it as otherwise it would be a hard slog.

I don’t envy you the task, but if you can set up online hubs where people can get 100 per cent honest, and above board, reviews and not the usual mutual back scratching guru review crap.

I will certainly give your resources the once over in the next few days.

      Les,
Thanks so much for the response, and the friends request! I did go in and accept.
I appreciate what you’re saying, about finding an honest review community. I would like to find that, but figured, I have to start somewhere. Til today I had a YT channel with videos with no likes, and only a few views. Gotta get the ball rolling somewhere (at least, that was my rationale).

As far as the products, I’ve used so many over the years. Mostly due to some idea I had here to there, which necessitated its use. That’s why I figured, “Why not?” I also plan to review IM programs, too…If something looks interesting, might as well buy it and see if it works, then do a review. A way to make my “shiny object syndrome” lucrative, I guess.

The irony is that I’m pretty “settled” doing this project. I’m realizing whatever you do, it’s a process to keep it all rolling. I recall Sean’s training about completing 1 blog post, 1 video, 1 email, etc, a day. The real test will be whether I can get and keep that momentum going!

      Hi Jen,

I’m sure you have heard this all before but you have to make your business part of your routine. It helps that you are interested in what you are doing. Make it a habit and increase output, if possible, exponentially to start with until you get some traction and start earning money.

Hard slog work in the beginning equals easier more systematic, and smarter work later.

    Hi again Jen,

I subscribed to your YT channel and had written some comments on one of your reviews. Then, because I had set it on Play all, the video moved onto your next one and I lost the whole of my comment. Then the sound went on Youtube, which was weird. Not the fault of my machine though, as I then played a Facebook video. I will try again over the next few days.

    Hi Jen,

I left a comment on your video, reviewing the Logo Creator on your YT channel. You are enthusiastic and I am sure you will improve over time.

    Great job getting started, Jen!

And the “settled” feeling is worth so much for your success and momentum.
