I wrote a long post here about why I am starting over again, but it turned out personal, made some claims people might not believe or understand, was more focused on me than the group, so I deleted it and much like my online business, started over again.

Why am I starting over again?

    Because I can do better.
Because the people I am trying to help need me to do better.
Because if you aren’t starting out to be number 1, then why start out at all?
Because what I do in my practice wasn’t carrying over online.

What if in a few years you find that you are number 3 in your field, how would that feel?

I don’t think you get to be number 3 by aiming for number 12.

I am keeping the platform idea, I think that is the highest goal you can have to reach people, to be your own platform.

What are you really trying to do online?
Who are you trying to reach?
Who are you trying to help?
How are you trying to reach and help them?
and here is a big one for me…
What are the problems you are facing in your efforts to change their lives?

    How will you overcome them?

    best,

About 4,500 new words and a new direction.

It will be interesting to see how they look this morning. I find sleeping on something can change my perspective.

    A Trap We Fall Into

I get these great ideas and honestly, they are really great, based on my experience I know people need it, I write an article or make a product based on it and then no one buys or it just doesn’t come out like I meant for it to come out.

I did that when I started my platform. I knew better and did it again anyway.

You just have this great idea or see a way of doing things and you just dive in with the creative juices flowing and when you get through you have a fabulous result that people need, but aren’t looking for or just don’t get since they are newbies and you are the old pro.

So here is what I am trying to do now.

When I get the brilliant topic, idea or insight, I ask myself what am I going to actually do with it?
What is the outcome I want?

I know whatever I do I have to get people’s attention quickly, find their pain points and hammer them, come across as an expert with solutions, offer at least part of a solution, make them want more and give them a clear action to take to continue.

So I am mending my ways and looking at everything I do in the light of that framework and somehow make it fit…
    while keeping the fantastic idea!

    best,

Focus on the needs of individuals who need help . . . .

What you do for you, or you do to create something big to hopefully find problems and hammer them out . . .may not endure.

Solving problems changes live and makes money.’
