Hi James,
I totally get that. I have a full-time job where I work 50 hours a week too. Not always easy to find the time to work online. But, I try to set aside an hour a day to focus on internet marketing.
Every day, I do one aspect. For example, today I committed this one hour to be active on PreneurPal. On Mondays, it is writing articles and posting on my websites. On Wednesdays I convert these articles into slides and post them in slideshare and so on…
It’s a lot of fun. It relieves a lot of stress that I build up during the day.

First of all… that’s a wonderful question.
I cannot talk for people who have no other job and try to focus on internet marketing to make money online.
I have a full-time job that pays me well. However, I will build my internet marketing business to such an extent that it makes me more money than my job in a year. Then, I will quit my job and focus on internet marketing.
I have been on this field for 7 years, on and off, a little success, some failures and a lot learnt. But what kept me going is the passion and the belief that I will make it big sometime in the future. I guess, without the passion, the understanding that ‘Rome was not built in a day’ and the perseverance, no one can survive in this field.

I started Internet Marketing in 2010, when I and a lot of my other friends got introduced to a company in India that started paying $10 for every 20 min survey I took. It got pretty famous, and the government shut it down, stating that it is a bogus company.
All of my friends gave up, but it got me thinking, “if this doesn’t work, is there any other way to really make money online?”
Then, I spent a lot of money learning this, and that. In 2013, I got an offer in a university in Germany to do my Masters in Robotics, and I have to slow down all my efforts. However, I did not stop everything. Finally, in 2014, I used everything I learned in 4 years to create gigs. After 6 months, I was a level 2 seller. After 4 years working online and spending almost $2000 to learn various stuff, I made my first $1000. Even though I loved it, I was always attracted to the idea of blogging. I started to create a PLR membership site.
Then, in 2015, I had to stop everything because of my internship and thesis. I barely had any time left. I had to focus all my energy and time for doing my internship and thesis, so as to finish my master thesis. Those were difficult times… sleeping for less than 6 hours a day, working out every day, having only $25/week to spend on food (in a country like Germany, that’s awfully less).
In 2016, I found a job that pays me well, but I still have to travel and work a lot. Now that I have enough money, I am trying to finally create a blog that can someday convert into a full-time income.

Thanks for the clarification everyone. This has inspired me to keep going. I will do it for 6 months and keep my results posted every month.

My name is Madhushan M, and I come from the southern most province of India. If you wonder why I don’t have a last name, it is because, none of us in our province have a last name, We only have an initial (mine is ‘M’) which is the first letter of our father’s name.
