    Out-Google, Google…

I too believe that building your own platform is so very, very important, especially in this age of the internet.

As far as trying to “out google, google” I’m not ever going to say it’s impossible, because google “out-yahooed, yahoo” to put themselves in the position they’re in.

It will take a tremendous amount of work, foresight, vision & energy to do it.

And to build that place, one doesn’t necessarily need to start out with that objective as the end goal.

Just be extraordinarily good at one thing that will cause others to evangelise for you, and you’re on your way.

The one place I see that google consistently fails at customer service. That just might be the opening.

That’s the one thing Zappo’s used to put themselves head & shoulders above the other shoe sites.

That’s really what Amazon has used to put themselves in the position they’re in.

    Customer Service.

And they had to “out-WalMart, WalMart” to get to where they are.

At the time, that seemed like an impossible dream to most.

Anything and everything is possible with the right combination of factors.

Most things are improbable for a variety of reasons, but everything is possible.

I’m hoping we all figure out that “one thing” (most of the time it’s several things wrapped up in the guise of One Thing) in our fields and exploit it to as best as we possibly can to create that platform which will allow us to live the life we choose!

A HUGE Thank You to Sean for creating this fantastic place for us to get together and here’s to each and every one of us to accomplish all we want/need to!

Thank you so much Sean! This site is really coming together with all the information available.

What do you like BEST about the Core Access Page?

What do you like LEAST about it?

What is the #1 thing I could add to make it much better?

My favorite thing about the Core Access Page is that Everything is available on one page, which is what causes my “least favorite” thing at the moment, which is that the page looks very crowded… but with good reason, so I prefer to live with that.

As far as the #1 thing to add, I’m thinking maybe some very broad catagories with links to the individual trainings, but leave the individual trainings the way they are also, for the time being.

Something that might add some activity and encourage comments, friendships, groups, etc… would be to have the site send messages out, maybe once a day, or twice a week (or set it up so we can choose frequency) to be notified of requests, comments, etc…

    Just my .02 worth.

    Thank you Scott

Scott, thank you for updating us on your progress and I agree with Sean, your article is one of the best I’ve ever read on this subject. Great insights.

    Thank You Tina

Thank you Tina for bringing this to our attention.

It seems as if he’s really looking for service type deals because of the things his “list” doesn’t like.

I’m realtively sure someone in the group can use it.

If not right now, maybe in the near future.

    Thanks again.

    Screwing Around for a While

    Hi Bruce,

I’ve been screwing around with this for a long time now.

I built my first site in the late 90’s, got a small amount of traffic coming in, and sold the site.

I’ve done that several times over the years… amazingly enough I never built much of an email list.

At one point, I did have a list from eBay buyers, a little over 3,500 of them, but I grew pretty tired of that gig.

So, I’ve been screwing around with this for a long time, but only in the last few months, have decided to really buckle down and build a real business.

Hi Bruce and thanks for asking this question.

After a bit of thought, I think the thing that distracts me the most is fear.

Fear of not learning something that was just within reach moments earlier.

Fear of not knowing the answer to the next question I have.

Or the question someone else has for me.

Things like email, messenger, social media, etc…, are just the tools we use to facilitate the distraction, but I’m a firm believer the distraction itself is rooted much deeper in ourselves.

    Hi Bruce,

I too, feel you should focus on the ghostwriting site in your signature, although like Norma, I find the psych hacks site more fun to read.

Maybe a slogan could be “Ghost Writing with the Readers Mind in Mind”…

Norma, I, like Bruce Bauersfeld, really do like and prefer Evernote.

It works great on my phone, I find there is very little editing to do, and most of the editing required is because I got lazy or was trying to be too quiet in a public place.

I really like the fact that I do not have to email it to myself, but the option is there, should I want to email it to me or anyone else.

Hi Norma… I’ve filled it in a bit for now, will complete it fully in the next few days.
