TEST. That’s the only way to know. The rest is opinion and theory.

I hear ya, Diana. I’ve so many irons in the fire that I don’t know what I’m cooking.

Here’s something to consider: If you want water, drill a well. If you drill far enough, you’ll get it … but you have to stick with one well. Better to drill 1,000 feet with one well than to drill 1,000 wells one foot deep. And it really doesn’t matter which location you choose (as long as it eventually leads to water).

You can have an offer on one site that you refer to from the other … Ditto with Suzanne … relevance is important.

I’m from Bend, Oregon, and I’ve been fulltime freelancing from home since May 10, 2013.

    Thank you, Lord.

I’m a writer/copywriter who primarily ghostwrites for CEO’s and manages email campaigns for small businesses. Lately, I’ve been getting more into ebooks (editing and formatting for authors). My aim is to stick with a niche and start taking myself on as a client.

Problem is … everything interests me. I can help others focus and launch, but can’t seem to do that for myself (that’s gotta change soon).

We have the people … how to do it. Sean, is there a way we can meet here in the forum? We could start a private Facebook or Google+ group. Suggestions?

That’s the first I’ve heard of Membersonic. Thank you all. My concern with a plugin is drain on site speed. Has anyone checked page load time with and without the plugin activated?

You can adjust your profile, but this may be a platform where the password is controlled by the owner as an access control point.

The big thing, no matter how many are in attendance, is that you’re developing content … building a stockpile of resources.

Udemy is a good place to develop leads, but it takes plenty of work.

Why not do some guest posting on popular blogs in your niche, Scott? Ezine isn’t quite as robust as it once was.

Scott, many might not show for or complete the training … who are genuinely interested in your topic. If you don’t have them opt-in up front, you’ll lose the contact. I get your desire to pre-qualify, but I’m not sure that’s the best way.

I personally prefer audio… and I can’t tell you why, but I hate Zoom. That probably means I need to use it more 🙂

Learning to make effective searches is an art form, Scott.

Determine the questions your audience is asking. Search on those questions with [forum] in the query: “How to build wealth forum” … read through the conversations and see where those folks are going/referencing … you have to kiss a lot of frogs, but put your detective hat on and dive in. Just don’t spam … never spam. Be helpful and listen.

I’m way open to ideas about how/when and structure. Melody … what are you thinking about structure? Tina … how many people? Norma, good to meet you. Let’s do it.

Check the competition, then consider your own marketing strategy. Most folks want to low-ball. That’s seldom the best approach … but it can be.

The bigger and bolder your guarantee, the more sign-ups you’ll get, Scott. The more risk you’ll run of returns too. You have to find your own comfort zone and test, test, test. One thing for sure: guarantees help folks pull the trigger on a purchase.

Depends on the technical aspects of the site you have and the site you’re moving to, Elaine. One thing you want to do is make sure the security is upgraded. Things have changed over the past few years. It it an off-site platform or a WordPress plugin?

Did you measure page load time before and after the plugin, James? I’m wondering how much effect there is.

That’s up to you, Scott. The basic sequence is prospect generation, squeeze page to build the list, daily emails to build relationship, then developing products and making offers. You don’t have to offer a membership at all … that’s up to your own strategic plan. In essence, membership is a combination service/product, seems to me.

Sean has taught on leveraging the email across multiple platforms, Bryan. Your email can also be a blog post, an mp3, a YouTube, a sales letter … get the most bang from it all. IF YouTube is part of your strategy, that’s perfect. I like mp3 best … that means I don’t have to do the talking head routine or come up with a slide show to make it YouTube presentable. Also, check Sean’s training on YouTube platform building.

If you’re talking about branding, your platform is your niche … what you’re known for.

If you’re talking about membership methods, the platform is the tool you use to host the membership.

The meme I’ve seen folks using most, Scott, is the “Challenge” concept. Take one part of your big training and use it as an intro.

How to use this and the generate traffic thread? Should we reply with ideas? Report progress?

Suzanne, the two on top of my list right now are Invanto and Wild Apricot.
