You can also compress them with any one of a number of WP plugins.
The free versions limit the number of pictures you can do in a month to something like 500 per month, which should be ample for most people.

Hi Robert,
How’s it going?
Are you getting some clarity?
Can you describe the process you’re using to get it?
This is something that I’ve struggled with, and still do to a certain extent. Maybe my experiences can help you.

Been there, Norma; done it, too. Got the whole closet. 😉
One thing I’ve noticed with myself is that when I stop making progress on one thing, instead pushing through, I tend to shy away from it and work on something else where I feel I stand a better chance of progressing.
That can be a good thing, sometimes, but with me it happens a lot.
I hate being stuck.

Dejan, the direct link to the forum threads is called Direct Link to Ask Anything Forum. Right now, it’s in the top right of the Navigation bar.
The Pal Core Access page is where you’ll see all the training and different sections.
If you scroll to the bottom of the page, then on the right you’ll see various links to different comments. Not all of the links work right now, but most do.
If there are certain threads that you want to follow, then click the word Favorite in the top right corner of the original post. Then you click on your favorite link at the bottom of the Pal Core Access page and see just the ones you’ve chosen.

Accountability is both exhilarating and scary.
Exhilarating because each of us will know that someone cares about what we’re doing.
Scary because we don’t want to disappoint others, and we’re still unsure if we can pull it off.

I read somewhere that the founders of one of the two companies – can’t remember which – wrote the software for their new operating system on the plane to the meeting they were having with potential investors who thought that it already existed!
I’m not in favor of lying, but it does rather prove the point that having a perfect system wasn’t on their agenda.
All they wanted was something that worked.

One of the challenges, Bob, is learning how long things take.
Although there’s some truth to Parkinson’s Law – “Work will expand to fill the time available” – many of us still overestimate how much we can accomplish within that time.
Might be worth keeping a record of how much time you spend on each task.

If you’re using Outlook or something like it, then LOG OUT.
If you’re using Gmail or other online clients, then use one of the programs that lets you block certain websites for a period of time.
There’s even one site you can go to where you choose a charity for a cause that you hate, and every time you give into your temptation, you have to donate to it. LOL

I missed what you said in your comment, Susan, about the noise that Periscope makes.
It made me realize that I’d forgotten to mention something important.
When I go to bed, I put the phone on Airplane Mode. I’m using it for a clock at night. Nothing else.
Actually, it was Sean who told me that falling asleep at my desk in the afternoon wasn’t normal. (Duh!)
I was waking up after 6 1/2 hours and then getting up, figuring that being a little older that that’s just the way it was.
Setting the alarm is not so that it will wake me up so much as it is to make me stay there for eight hours.
I use Airplane Mode so that I don’t get a Facebook message during the night.
If you put your phone on Airplane Mode, then you won’t hear anything you don’t want to.

Neither is correct, Les.
It’s the love of money that’s the root of all kinds of evil. And the reason is that people who love it, who want to amass it, will do anything to get it.
They’ll cheat and call it tactics.
They’ll break the law, and then tell you everyone else is doing it.
They’ll lie, too, and tell you that it’s only a white lie.
They’ll cut corners at every opportunity to feed the accumulation addiction.
It’s why we have to be very careful about what we set our affections on.

Google alerts can be very effective if you get the right words or phrases.
That can be really tricky, though.
The same words or even phrases can be synonymous with topics that are entirely unrelated to yours.
Take the word nurseries, for example.
In the UK, it can refer to a child care center or a place where plants are grown.

So much depends on the feedback we get; and when you’re still trying to get everything off the ground, you don’t get much. So it feels like you’re not making any progress.
And that’s when you question what you’re doing. You don’t feel like you’re making any progress, and so you look for something where you can make progress.

The thing that will help you more than anything else, Susan, is to write down your desired routine.
During one of your “better” moments, create a schedule.
It doesn’t have to be rigid, but it does need to list the things that you’ll do on each day with some times assigned to them.
Creative people, and especially those who are home all the time, need routines.
Otherwise, we drift.
This has happened to me more often than I’d like to admit.
You’ll have to revise your schedule periodically, and that’s okay; but whatever you come up with, try to stick to it.
And don’t let yourself off of the hook.
If you’re like me, then there will be days when you “don’t feel like it.”
The thing is that it’s so easy to get to where you don’t feel like on any day.
A routine will give you some structure to your day, and I think that that will help you a lot. 🙂

Thanks for your well-thought-out and precise response, Les.
You’re right that it’s easy for me to express my thoughts in this forum, and it warms my heart to hear that you’re benefiting from what I say.
I just need to – and I can’t think of the word that Jeeves would use, so I’ll explain it instead – let you know that I’m nothing like the success that you think I am.
True, I have a bit more education than many people, and have a few successes here and there, but I’ve been trying to create a business that would enable me to self-sufficient for 26 years. If ever make it, then I know what the title of the next book will be: The 2x-Year Apprentice: What Took So Long?
The biggest challenge that I’ve faced for all those years is not knowing how to codify what I know and understand.
I’ve never had a list that was big enough to ask people what they needed either.
So now you know.
That you and others have benefited from some of what I’ve said tells me I need to keep doing it.
And that’s an encouragement in itself.

I agree, Jen, that it’s possible for some people to feel left behind; but if we’re in MM groups, that shouldn’t prevent us from interacting with others in the forum.
It will just mean that we get to know some people a lot better because we have regular contact with them.
It’s a bit like house groups in a church. You get to know those in your house group better than others, but you still see everyone else on Sundays and at the prayer meetings/Bible studies.

Forgive me if I’ve made this suggestion to you before, Susan. I know that I have in another part of this forum.
A good book for you to read, at least the first part, is called The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, by Stephen Covey.
At the beginning, he talks about the Circles of Influence and Concern.
Most people live in the latter.
They look at all their limitations, and then ask what they can do within them. Over time, they find that they can do less and less.
The relative few who live in the former – The Circle of Influence – focus on all the things that they can do. Over time, they find that they can do more and more.
That’s a summary, but it would be worth it for you to read his discussion.
You can probably get the book through Inter Library Loan from your local library. It will certainly be in a copyright library if they can’t get it.
Any problems, just let me know and I’ll track it down for you.

Bob, I just wrote an article for a client that talks about strategy and execution at an organizational level.
Many are of the opinion that strategy is unnecessary, and that the only thing that’s needed is action.
I use the illustration of the pilot who, while admitting to the passengers that he was lost, boasted that they were going 500 mph.
Of course the opposite is true, too.
If all you do is plan, you won’t even get off the ground.
If you’ve been attending Sean’s coaching calls for more than six months, then you already know enough to take action, even if it’s only one small step.
The thing is that you probably won’t find out what the next step is until you do the one that you know you need to do right now; and, in any case, you have to do what you know first anyway.
Oh dear. I feel a bit like I’ve been lecturing.
Hope you didn’t take it like that. 🙂

I used AWeber for a long time, but I never earned enough to make it seem worthwhile.
I’ve also had a number of people tell me that they’re expensive for what they do compared to other ARs.
MailerLite isn’t perfect, but until I get 1000 subscribers, it’s free. And then after that, their fees are half of what AWeber is.
There is so much that AWeber does that I’ll never need that it seems pointless to pay for all that extra capability.

I’m with you, Dana, about starting earlier.
Today the problem was that the heat in the trailer was insufficient to cope with the temperatures outside.
Long story.
The good new is that I expect to move into a house (cottage) next year; probably in February.
One thing I’ve noticed is that if I’m concentrating, then time can go faster.
That said, there is some music on YouTube that does something with you Alpha waves, and I’ve found it not only enables you to concentrate harder, but also seems to slow time down. If you use it, you’ll notice that you’re more mentally tired at the end.
Oh, and you have to use headphones to get the effect.
